File Viewer Plus can open password-protected PDF and Office documents when you supply the correct password. Archive files (ZIP, 7Z, RAR) protected with encryption can also be opened after entering the archive password. The software does not attempt to bypass or remove password protection.
Yes. The image editor applies adjustments to a working copy and does not overwrite the original file until you explicitly choose Save or Export. You can undo all edits and restore the original at any time during the session. The original is never modified unless you save directly to the source path.
If a file fails to convert during a batch job — for example due to a corrupt source file or unsupported variant — File Viewer Plus logs the error and continues processing the remaining files. A summary report at the end lists successful conversions, skipped files, and any errors with details.
File Viewer Plus supports command-line file opening, which allows integration with scripts and workflows. Pass any supported file path as an argument to launch the app and open that file directly. A dedicated command-line batch conversion API is available under the Enterprise license.
